CAN I PICK UP MY RENTAL VEHICLE AT THE AIRPORT?

No. We provide on-demand shuttle service to our customers who choose airport shuttle option in their reservation. We’re conveniently located 12 minutes away from the Airport. Shuttle will bring you to the rental counter and your rental vehicle will be ready for pick up.

DO YOU REQUIRE VALID INSURANCE TO RENT A VEHICLE?

Yes. You must provide proof of insurance at the time of vehicle pick up, or purchase insurance offered on our website or at the rental counter.

DO YOU ACCEPT CASH OR DEBIT CARD TO RENT A VEHICLE?

No. You must provide a valid credit card at the time of reservation and at the rental counter.

CAN I RENT A CAR IF I’M 22 YEARS OLD?

Yes. Our minimum age to rent a car is 21 years old, however there is an underage fee for renters younger than 25 years old.

IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO RESERVE A RENTAL VEHICLE?

Yes. We reserve the vehicle just for you and charge a 20% deposit. This is to ensure your vehicle is going to be ready when you arrive and there are no overbooking cancellations.

IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?

The deposit is refundable during the first 24 hours past your initial reservation. It becomes non-refundable after 24 hours past your booking confirmation.

DOES ALASKAN CAR RENTAL OFFER UNLIMITED MILEAGE?

Yes. Our total price includes unlimited mileage for vehicles to be driven in State of Alaska.

CAN I DRIVE RENTAL VEHICLES ON UNPAVED ROADS?

We allow our SUV class vehicles, minivans and vans to be driven on unpaved roads in the south of Fairbanks. We do not allow our vehicles to be driven on any portion of Dalton Highway. Renters must disclose all trips planned for unpaved roads.

CAN I DRIVE A RENTAL VEHICLE THROUGH CANADA BORDER?

Yes. If you plan to drive to Canada, please let us know as far in advance as possible so we can prepare the necessary documents for your trip. Additional fees and requirements may apply. Please contact us for more details.

DO YOU OFFER ONE-WAY VEHICLE RENTALS?

Yes. We offer one-way trips to several locations in State of Alaska. Additional fees will apply, please visit our website or contact us for pricing information.

DOES ALASKAN CAR RENTAL ALLOW SMOKING IN ANY OF THE RENTAL VEHICLES?

No. All our vehicles are strictly smoke-free and smoking is prohibited at all times. Additional fees will apply if rental vehicle is returned with any smoke and/or other odors.
